Who we are

Founded in 1911, 8th Hendon is the last remaining Scout Group in Hendon. Based near Middlesex University and Sunny Hill Park, Our Scout Hut is located behind Church House, holding ties with St Mary's, our neighbouring church.

As one of the oldest Scout Troops in London, we have been around for 109 years! As with all Scouts, we've been heavily involved in our community's history, and still regularly volunteer and fundraise in Hendon with parades, hikes, and services at St Mary's Church.

We meet every Friday evening during term time, at the Meritage Centre, while we work to build our brand new Scout Hut across the road. We also run occasional camps throughout the year, which include Group Camp in the Spring, and Family Camp, in the Autumn.
